Although i had never actually kayaked before, one day i decided to make a stitch and glue kayak. for a non-kayaker i’m not sure why, but it had to do with a rowing class i had taken once, and i wanted to get out on. Stitch-and-glue construction, along with the development of epoxy and modern mahogany marine plywood, has revolutionized and revitalized wooden boat building. this method of building is not only stronger, lighter. Stitch and glue is a simple boat building method which uses plywood panels stitched together, usually with copper wire, and glued together with epoxy resin. this type of construction can eliminate much of the need.
