Garvey Boat Plan
I've been mulling over what to build next and i'm thinking about replacing my 17 year old devlin cackler. it's been a great boat and is still in perfect shape. it's just that i'd like to get rid of the infernal combustion engine and go electric. the cackler could be pushed with a torqueedo or big trolling motor, but i'd like something designed just for electric.. Our calendar girls! miss april 2014: the ben garvey. since our garvey is the work horse of spring (and fall), we figured that it would be fitting to honor her this april.. Starting a house boat project is not for everyone! if the thought of spending all your spare time, and being away from your family is not appealing, than possibly it makes more sense to go about buying a houseboat, than to try and build one.in the long run, it will be easier, and less frustrating to pursue, or plan-budget for a new or used houseboat?.
